Together with the announcement of the new MMS - Crate Controller Series CC2x and the hardware control box iCSmini2, iseg now releases the new version of the embedded server hardware and operating system. This brings unified control and configuration ability to almost every iseg power supply hardware.
The iseg iCS2 is an embedded Hardware Server running a Linux OS. The iCS provides a web-browser based hardware configuration and control toolset, and many preinstalled and easy to configure services like EPICS, SNMP, OPC UA, HTTP/Websocket-API, SOAP-API, vendor specific HALservice, Labview and more.
iCS2 is controllable with all modern web browsers, using a bidirectional Websocket push connection. Computers with Linux, Windows or OS X operating systems but also mobile devices like tablets can be easily connected by Ethernet or directly by using iCS own WiFi access point. Moreover iCS2 simplifies firmware updates for iseg hardware.

iCS2 now supports the zero configuration MASTER-SLAVE crate connection of iseg new MMS crate controller series. All setups can be auto-configured, legacy crates can now be controlled by Ethernet and still be used as system extensions of new MMS systems.
